THE town bus service increased its revenue by more than £5,000 last year.
In the 11 months to December 2025, the Henley Hopper brought in £16,350 compared to £10,592 in 2024.
The increase comes as the service was extended in March from three to five days a week.
It was accompanied by a fare increase on adult single tickets and one-day passes.
The service, which runs from 9am to 2pm each day, covers three different routes in the town centre which all start and finish in the Market Place.
It is subsidised by Henley Town Council, which agreed to spend a further £70,000 to fund the extra days to fulfil an election promise made by the ruling Henley Residents Group.
The service is run by Reading-based TK Travel, which was commissioned by the council to take over the service in 2020 after it was dropped by Reading Buses.
At a meeting of the council’s finance strategy and management committee on Tuesday last week, Councillor Ian Reissmann said: “It’s really good to see the increased service we provided is clearly being taken up, which is of value to the community and that’s excellent to see.”
