TWO pupils from the Oratory Preparatory School in Goring Heath have won a prize for public speaking.
Lana Jackson and Ellen MacIntosh, both 12 and in year 7, took home the Demosthenes trophy following a contest at Bradfield College.
They gave a speech called “30-year-old Me”, about the challenges of becoming an adult, at the University of Oxford.
Another group of pupils recently came sixth out of 46 teams in the regional finals of UK Mathematics Trust. They were Sam Christie, 13, and Tazy Harrison-Moore, Maddy Hart and Max Khan, all 12, from year 8.
