MORE than 3,500 people attended this year’s Wargrave and Shiplake Regatta.

About 700 were competitors in the 361 races that were held over two days between Shiplake railway bridge and land off Ferry Lane in Wargrave.

The regatta is thought to be at least 149 years old and will celebrate its official 150th birthday next year.
