Ceilidh to raise funds

A ST PATRICK’S Day ceilidh will be held in Wargrave to raise money for the Piggott Infant and Junior Schools.

London ceilidh band Fiddle Paradiddle will perform at the event, which will take place at Woodclyffe Hall in High Street on Saturday, March 11 from 7.30pm to 11pm.

It is being organised by Ella Beard who used to be an Irish dancer and now works in dance movement therapy. Her two children, aged nine and seven, attend the junior school.

Mrs Beard said: “I’m really excited about it. It’s a great opportunity to bring local folk together for a bit of a shindig. People here are really up for a bit of fun. It should be a great night.”

The dress code is “a splash of green” and there will be a prize for the best dancing leprechaun. The bar is card only.

Tickets cost £20, which includes a complimentary welcome drink. They can be bought online at https://www.eventcreate.com
