POLICE are warning car owners in Henley to be vigilant after a recent spate of keyless car thefts.
Any vehicle that uses a keyless entry is at risk as thieves only need to be within a few metres of a vehicle’s keys to capture the signal.
It can then take less than two minutes for them to gain full access.
Police recommend keeping keys out of sight of windows and doors, storing keys in a signal-blocking pouch, checking the manual to see if the wireless signal can be turned off and using deterrents such as steering wheel locks and vehicle tracking devices.
