Driving ban

A MAN from Sonning Common has been banned from the road after admitting drink driving.

John Magee, 62, of Kidmore Lane, pleaded guilty at Oxford Magistrates’ Court to driving in the village on Christmas Eve last year with 89 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

He was disqualified from driving for 22 months, to be reduced by 22 weeks if he carries out a course, and fined £960. He must also pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £384.
