You say where 79 new homes should be built

THE people of Watlington are to be given a say on where new homes should be built.

Residents will have their first opportunity to contribute to the town’s neighbourhood plan, which will recommend what type of development should take place, at an exhibition on March 22 and 23.

Watlington has been allocated 79 new homes to be built by 2027 under South Oxfordshire District Council’s core strategy.

The plan is being developed by a committee of six people, three parish councillors and three residents. It will cover only Watlington parish and not parts of neighbouring parishes.

Ian Hill, chairman of Watlington Parish Council and a member of the committee, said: “We know houses need to be built.
