War play

PUPILS at Reading Blue Coat School in Sonning staged two performances of Journey’s End this week o mark the centenary of the First World War.

The play, which was written in 1928 by R C Sherriff, follows British soldiers on the front line in France.

Year 11 student Patrick Digby, who played Stanhope, said: “By doing this play, I learned how hard their lives were.”
