All your boating needs for summer regatta days

HOBBS of Henley, established in 1870, has grown up alongside Henley’s Royal Regatta and remains to this day a close partner of the world’s famous annual rowing event.

From 1912, Hobbs have built the original wooden umpire launches that follow the racing and the company was responsible for the construction of the regatta course from 1919 to 1989. Today Hobbs are responsible for the management of the umpire launch drivers and provide the boats used operationally by regatta staff.

They offer a multitude of ways that visitors to the regatta can enjoy the event from the river. Self-drive boats are available from 10am to 6pm and can offer the best views of the racing.

For the less adventurous, skippered boats are available for up to 12 people and enables you and your guests to relax and let an experienced skipper take the helm.

Hobbs of Henley also operate a return river taxi service from their boatyard to just beyond the start line, the perfect way to get on site while soaking up the atmosphere on your river trip down the course. All are available to book online at www.hobbsofhenley.com
