Flood alert

A FLOOD alert for the River Thames for Henley, Remenham and Medmenham was issued this week following heavy rainfall.

The Environment Agency issued the warning on Wednesday, warning residents that flooding of low lying land and roads was expected.

It has urged residents to avoid using low lying footpaths near watercourses in these areas.

The flood alert also covered Middle and Lower Assendon on the Assendon Stream and Hambleden on the Hambleden Brook.
