Composite crew pull together to secure Masters D crown

AN Upper Thames and Henley Rowing Club composite Masters D crew started their winter season strongly by winning at the 4,800-metre Quintin Head in London last Saturday. The crew consisted of Mike Jennings, Rob Wilson, John Ewans, Gareth Morris, Chris Hall, Tim Senior, Dan Sadler and Peter Jacobs coxed by Davina Guinness.

The crew finsished 38th out of 235 crews and won by five seconds over a London Rowing Club crew of mostly ex-internationals who they had beaten by 0.5 seconds at last year’s Veteran Tideway Head.
