National call up

MORE than 30 Leander club athletes have been called up to represent the GB rowing team at the World Rowing Cup II in Varese, Italy, later this month.

The Henley club’s rowers dominate the 57-strong squad, which includes all five gold medal winning boats from the recent European Championships in Bled.

Among them will be Leander’s Will Stewart, Jacob Dawson, Sholto Carnegie and Tom Ford.
