Hyde loses out by just one second

FOLLOWING on from success at selection trials, Henley Rowing Club’s Scarlett Hyde represented Great Britain in the annual GB versus France match held at the London Regatta Centre.

The event featured fierce competition across 14 races, and Hyde’s single scull race was no different and in a close race with both girls leading at some point the Henley sculler missed out on the win by just one second.

Both teams won seven races but GB secured the top spot due to there being a greater number of individual athletes who achieved victory across those races.
