Shiplake Vikings debutants conquer as regatta season gets into full swing

YOUNGSTERS from Shiplake Vikings Rowing Club have been putting in good performances at recent regattas.

The J14 squad of girls who all took up the sport last September were undefeated at the first three of first regattas they entered — Maidenhead invitational regatta, Reading Amateur and Thames Valley Park.

The squad of 14 athletes have been competing in coxed quad events with a different quad competing at each event.
