TWO venues in Shiplake have been awarded hygiene ratings following food safety inspections.

Shiplake Primary School in Memorial Avenue was awarded five out of five stars meaning overall standards are “very good”.

The Plough, which is on the corner of Plough Lane and Reading Road, was awarded a three-star rating meaning standards are “generally satisfactory”.

The inspection was carried out by environmental health officers under the Scores on the Doors run by the Food Standards Agency.
