A PRODUCTION company donated £4,000 to Pishill and Stonor Parish Council to compensate for late-night filming of a film starring Hugh Jackman.
Grand Leo Productions UK have been filming Three Bags Full in July at White Pond Farm in Stonor, which also stars Emma Thompson.
They were also using land at Upper Assendon Farm for the parking of transport and service vehicles.
The company decided to donate £2,000 for general film-making in the area and a further £2,000 for the need to film overnight, where the company were unable to give residents prior notice.
The council hopes to use the money in providing automated, illuminated traffic signs which can be installed in different areas on rotation.
A spokeswoman said: “The council has been in contact with Oxfordshire County Council highways regarding the provision of the equipment.
“Unfortunately, actual installation cannot take place until a number of legal protocols have been satisfied. The process may take a year to complete.
“In the meantime, parish councillors will maintain contact with the officers at the county council in order that the installation can take place as soon as legally permissible.
“The equipment will be randomly moved from one position to another, in order to vary the speed reminder signs and hopefully maintain impact.
“In view of the generosity of the donations, it may be possible for the parish to purchase two sets of equipment, but this will become clear shortly.”
