Slow down and savour what’s good

JUST outside the village of Theale, on the beautiful Englefield Estate, you’ll find Cobbs — a farm shop that’s as much about experience as it is about great food.

Set in restored cattle barns, Cobbs blends rustic charm with a modern, welcoming feel. We’re open seven days a week and proudly champion local produce and artisan makers.

Step inside and discover a tempting delicatessen packed with homemade quiche, delicious pies and a wide selection of British and local cheeses.

Our traditional butchery counter offers top-quality, locally sourced meat prepared by skilled hands — and our friendly team is always happy to offer advice on cuts or cooking tips.

The thoughtfully stocked farm shop has everything from fresh fruit and veg to indulgent treats and everyday essentials. If you’re staying for a bite (and we think you should), the café serves hearty breakfasts, delicious lunches and our much-loved afternoon teas. Coffee and cake are always on offer — and don’t miss our popular Sunday lunch menu.

Whether you’re doing the weekly shop, catching up with friends or simply soaking in the relaxed countryside atmosphere, Cobbs is a place to slow down and savour what’s good.
