Trio secure treble wins

SONNING Common and Peppard A continued their push at the top of Division 1 of the Reading and District League with a 10-0 win against Kingfisher D, Ed Lush, Gary Morgan and Jason Roberts all with trebles.

The C team managed their first points of the campaign with Danny Dockree getting two wins in their 7-3 defeat against Tidmarsh A. Both the B and D teams suffered heavy losses as they were beaten 10-0 by Tilehurst RBL A and Kingfisher A respectively.

In Division 3, Jeremy Willis kept up his good form with two wins but the E team still lost 8-2 against promotion favourites Our Lady of Peace C, while in Division 4 Derek Wavell picked up two wins in the G team’s 8-2 defeat at Springfield B, Simon Blake narrowly losing against James McGeough 11-7, 11-8, 8-11, 6-11, 9-11.
