NEW Sonning Common and Peppard A recruit Daniel Moses managed a hat-trick against Division 1 league leaders Kingfisher A last week but the table toppers still ran out 6-4 winners.
Danny Dockree won twice as the C team lost 7-3 at Tilehurst RBL A, Dockree coming close to a hat-trick after losing 5-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-6, 16-18 to Tilehurst’s Jon Willis.
Sonning Sports A put in a strong team performance to defeat Sonning Common and Peppard D 9-1. Nigel Maltby lost an opening tussle to Nick Sears while Simon Berry managed a win against Sears.
Denise Weller and Tom Astle each had wins against Phil Mead as Sonning Common and Peppard B hosted Kingfisher C but, despite several other close encounters, could not avoid an 8-2 defeat.
Ian Davenport was very unlucky as he lost all his games in the fifth and on a couple of occasions failed to convert match points as the E team lost 8-2 against Division 3 leaders Kingfisher I.
In Division 4 Sonning Common and Peppard F took Tilehurst RBL C teams 100 per cent record with a 6-4 win, Gerry Bacon with a treble, and followed this with a 7-3 victory over OLOP E. The G team battled hard but were defeated 6-4 by Spring-field C.
