Moses shines on debut

SONNING Common and Peppard A ran out 7-3 winners in their Reading and District League Division 1 clash with Kingfisher B 7-3.

New recruit Daniel Moses hit a treble while Gary Morgan won twice, including a good win over Kingfisher’s Graham Mendick as the second placed side defeated the third placed team.

Tom Astle’s double helped Sonning Common and Peppard B to three valuable points, despite losing 7-3 to Sonning Sports A, Matt Stone with their other singles win.

Danny Dockree’s win against Alan Cummings was all Sonning Common and Peppard C had to show as they lost 9-1 to Kingfisher C, while a 12-10, 11-9, 11-9 win by Simon Berry against Dale Ballard was all the D team could manage as they lost 9-1 to Tidmarsh A.

Sonning Common and Peppard E drew 5-5 with Sonning Sports B in Division 3, Jeremy Willis with another hat-trick, while in Division 4 Sonning Common and Peppard F beat Springfield C 7-3 with Graeme Streets starring with a maximum. Simon Blake and Derek Wavell got singles in Sonning Common and Peppard G team’s 7-3 defeat at Kingfisher K.
