Warren hits treble

KINGFISHER C proved too strong for Sonning Common and Peppard D in their Division 1 Reading and District Table Tennis League clash as they triumphed 10-0.

Six points now separates the bottom four teams as the season approaches its halfway point, while at the top Kingfisher A have a 1 point advantage over Kingfisher B with a match in hand, and Sonning Common and Peppard A a further seven points adrift but still in the hunt.

In Division 3, Sonning Common and Peppard E moved themselves into mid-table safety after a vital 7-3 win against Tilehurst Methodists C, Jim Warren was player of the match with a treble.

The F team maintained their promotion push from Division 4 with a 6-4 win aganst Springfield B, Graeme Streets with another good maximum. David Riddle and Derek Wavell both managed singles as the G team lost 7-3 against Kingfisher L.
