Roberts bags treble

IN a derby encounter, Sonning Common and Peppard A won 10-0 in Division 1 of the Reading and District League against their D team clubmates with trebles from Jason Roberts, Ian Cole and Ed Lush.

The D team fought well, particularly Simon Berry who only just lost out to Cole 11-8, 8-11, 11-7, 9-11, 4-11. The B team remain bottom after an 8-2 loss at Tidmarsh A, Matt Stone doing well to edge Tony Baker while Daniel Artene pipped Dale Ballard 11-7, 12-10, 8-11, 7-11, 14-12.

Jeremy Willis, Jim Warren and Anthony Reeve all won twice as the E team beat Tidmarsh D 7-3 in Division 3 to maintain their position in the top half of the table.
