Racketlon is a sport where you play your opponent at table tennis, badminton, squash and tennis, one after the other, and the winner is the player who has the most points at the end of the match. Racketlon is a growing sport with a national and international circuit of tournaments.

Ranson has been a nationally ranked and county-level badminton player since she was eight and currently plays for the Berkshire senior badminton team as well as the U19s. She also competes in Badminton England tournaments regularly.

Ranson began playing table tennis as a nine-year-old but gave up when badminton started to take over, however, she quickly picked it up again when she was 14 and began playing racketlon, she has played county U18 table tennis this season.

At Queen Anne’s School, Ranson learnt to play tennis and she is the current ladies' singles champion at Caversham Park Tennis Club. She started playing squash two years ago, at Caversham Park Village Squash Club and is now ranked in the top 25 for squash nationally at U17s girls and she played in squash nationals this year, finishing in a respectable 11th place.
