HENLEY Tennis Club’s men’s A team earned a hard-fought 4-4 draw away at Witney B in their Division 1 Oxfordshire League clash that took place in much-improved weather conditions last weekend.
Rubbers were shared across the afternoon, leaving the tie finely poised heading into the final match.
The decisive moment came in dramatic fashion. Tom Raynor and Max Miles-Thomas found themselves 5-2 down and facing 40-15, seemingly on the brink.
From this point the Henley side produced a superb turnaround, reeling off games under pressure to snatch the set 7-5 and secure the draw for Henley.
