Upcoming road closures for Christmas lights switch-on

The streets of Windsor will light up with festive cheer as they switch on their annual Christmas lights on Saturday, November 15.

Accordingly, there will be some road closures to make the street sage while this is going on and some parking restrictions.

The My Royal Borough team said: “To maintain the safety of residents and the participants it will be necessary to close a number of roads and suspend parking in the High Street.”

  • The following closures and parking suspensions will be activated on November 15 from 12pm to 7pm:
  • Sheet Street
  • High Street
  • Castle Hill
  • Thames Street
  • St Albans Street.

As a result of these closures, a number of other roads will be affected.

They will include Peascod Street, Church Street, Market Street, Church Lane, Park Street and the entrance to Windsor Royal Shopping Centre.

Footways will remain open at all times during the evening and there will be stewarding at all main road closure points.

“We kindly ask that you make a note of the above times and ensure that you avoid any vehicle movement in and around Windsor,” wrote the My Royal Borough team.

There will also be a suspension of parking bays in Sheet Street, High Street and Thames Street from 12pm to 7pm.

If you wish to discuss any of the above, contact Robyn Bunyan on email or call 07786 676801.
