Drivers using the M4 have been warned to expect long-delays following a crash involving multiple vehicles.
National Highways said a closure was in place for the eastbound motorway carriageway, between Junction 4 at Heathrow Airport and Junction 3 at Hayes, following the crash.
Fire and rescue teams from London Fire Brigade were on scene, the company said, while National Highways officers had also been deployed to manage traffic buildup.
Traffic England’s travel map displayed traffic as ‘not moving’ on approach to the affected section of road, as well as delays of up to 30 minutes trailing back to Langley and the M4 junction with M25.
