HENLEY’S Natasha Harris-White won her age group at the Challenge Wales middle distance triathlon held in Fishguard last weekend.
The race consisted of a 1.9km sea swim in Fishguard Bay before a scenic 90km bike ride towards St David’s and back. The final stage was a half marathon distance run with sea views of the Pembrokeshire coast.
Harris-White won her 25 to 29 age category and in doing so was just five minutes behind a GB professional athlete.
Last month Harris-White won her age category at the Ironman 70.3 challenge held in Aix-en Provence in France. This qualified the former Gillotts School pupil for the World Championships in Lahti, Finland, in August.
Harris-White, who only took up the sport last year after a stint as a successful rower, is in search for sponsors to help support her towards her goal of representing the GB team in triathlon. Anyone interested in sponsoring Harris-White should email jaw2284@gmail.com for further details.
