ON Sunday morning a serious injury befell Ben Lock, of Station House, Henley. It appears that he, along with others, engaged in removing the engine from a motor car when one of the party slipped and in order to save himself Mr Lock put his right hand up against the windscreen of the car with the result that the glass was broken and he sustained severe injuries, the main artery being severed.

On Monday, a somewhat serious accident befell Agnes Wootten, of Adwell Square, Henley. It appears that Owen Humphreys, motor engineer, of Shiplake, was driving along Reading Road on the proper side of the road at about 15mph to 20mph. When passing Farm Road, Mrs Wootten suddenly rode out on a bicycle and into the car despite Mr Humphreys swerving to try to avoid her. She was taken to the War Memorial Hospital with fractured ribs.

On Friday morning there was another collision in Nettlebed Wood resulting in a Morris-Cowley owned and driven by John Griffith, of Nottingham, and a Daimler touring car driven by John Lush being badly damaged.
