CALLS for CCTV installation have been renewed after Henley was hit by graffiti “artists” on Tuesday night. Two houses on Marlow Road suffered damage, plus the “Welcome to Henley” signs, but the main target was Asquiths in New Street. Owner Joan Bland told the Standard: “If there had been CCTV then this could have been prevented, the police don’t even know who they are looking for.”
Henley businessman John Nagle has launched a campaign to have the Greys Road traffic lights turned off. And Mr Nagle, managing director of Rexdale Well, Duke Street, is urging local employers to sign his petition to “get Henley moving”. He said: “There should be a week-long trial.”
