THE scale of entries for this year’s Henley Town and Visitors’ Regatta to be held on the Henley Reach tomorrow (Saturday) recalls the days when the regatta was held on August Bank Holiday and regularly used to attract entries of 150-plus. This year’s total, according to the published draw and timetable of racing, is 148 and this has necessitated a programme of no fewer than 84 races.

Dunsden School could become a community centre if a new planning application by Eye and Dunsden Parish Council is approved. The application is for the change of use of the building. At a public meeting in June last year, residents made it clear that they wanted to use the school as a social recreation centre.
