WARGRAVE Parish Council is set to spend £8,750 on tree works across five areas in the village.
An arboricultural contractor has surveyed the council’s tree stock to check their health and identify any health risks.
Beechwood Tree Care, based in Reading, will undertake the work at Camps Pool, the Chalk Pit Nature Reserve, Wargrave recreation ground, Kings Field and the allotments off Recreation Road.
Work at Camps Pool will include the removal of major deadwood to two ash trees, while four trees at the nature reserve will receive section felling to cut them into smaller sections.
Works at other locations include crown reduction, removal of dead ivy and pruning.
