EIGHTEEN children picked up litter in Watlington last week to earn their “Community” Scouts badge.
The 2nd Watlington Squirrels, who range from four to six years old, collected litter around the Paddock.
Using hand-held litter pickers, the group collected discarded cans, crisp packets and plastic bottles. Leader Samantha Reed-Drake said: “It went brilliantly. They absolutely loved it and didn’t even want to play in the park.
“They definitely felt very responsible doing something for the environment.” Scouting groups in Watlington are looking for more volunteers to help run sessions. For more information, email info@watlingtonscouts.uk
