Celebration of centre

09:30AM, Monday 13 October 2025

AN open afternoon will take place in Woodcote Community Centre on Sunday, October 26.

The event is to celebrate the refurbishment of the kitchen at the facility in Reading Road, which opened in 1993.

Visitors will be served light refreshments and a glass of fizz from 2pm to 4pm and the chance to tour the building.

Karen Woolley, who chairs the centre, had made several grant applications to pay for the work.

The centre received donations from Woodcote Parish Council, Woodcote Rally Charitable Association, the National Lottery Community Fund, Doris Fields Charitable Trust and Woodcote Volunteers.

Meanwhile, a coffee morning will take place in the centre tomorrow (Saturday) from 10.15am to 11.45am in aid of Woodcote Pre-School.

Tea, cakes and coffee will be served. Cash only.
