QUEEN Anne’s School in Caversham celebrated Wellbeing Week with a series of activities and workshops aimed at promoting mental health and self-care among its girls.
Activities included a session led by local author Mali Baker, who read from her book, River Baker and the Warriors of RALA.
The story features a young heroine who navigates difficult decisions with courage and resilience.
There was also a wellness walk for lower fifth students organised in collaboration with Sport in Mind, a charity that emphasises the mental health benefits of physical activity.
Bernadette Russell, author of How to be Hopeful, delivered a talk on the power of kindness.
A highlight of the week was the “gratitude tea party”, organised by the school’s wellbeing prefect Beth James and the lower sixth students.
This event was a gesture of appreciation for the staff for their support and encouragement throughout the academic year.
Pictured with their teas are staff Jessica Norris with Anne Tynan and Oliver Roberts with Harriette Wimble.
