Henley golfers raise £28,000 for disabled charity

A GOLF club has donated £28,000 to a Henley charity.

Huntercombe Golf Club has been raising money for the Chiltern Centre, off Greys Road, which supports disabled young adults.

It was chosen as the charity of the year for 2025 by ladies’ captain Clare Lennon and men’s captain Ian Whittaker.

Henley plant party for 'foster parents'

A CLIMATE and nature action charity in Henley has held its first “plant party”.

Greener Henley held the event in a committee room at the town hall  on Thursday last week.

It was organised ahead of the relaunch of Nature Squared which is run in collaboration with the town council and the Henley Standard.

Henley to hold Great Sack Race to clean up the town

Participants will take to the town’s streets, parks and pathways armed with sacks and litter pickers, collecting rubbish in a focused, two-hour community clean-up, designed to enhance the beauty and ambiance of the town.
