Maidenhead town centre parade of shops to go under the hammer at auction

A parade of shops and flats in Maidenhead town centre are set to go under the hammer at auction.

Blandy House at 3-5 King Street has a current gross rental income of £208,348 per annum, and a guide price of between £2.2million to £2.3million.

The fully let 6,966 sq ft building has five retail units on the ground floor.

There are also nine flats on the three floors above, which the current owner had converted from offices through permitted development rights.

Allsop, a real estate consultancy and ‘the UK’s largest property auction house’, is bringing Blandy House (Lot 27) to auction on Tuesday, November 4.

Alex Neil, commercial auction partner at Allsop, said: “Assets such as Blandy House, with its risk-reducing mix of retail and residential tenants, are sought after by investors.

“In recent auctions, we have seen a significant amount of demand for mixed-use assets in the south east, particularly those priced between £1 and £3m.

“Combined with its location in the attractive town of Maidenhead, which has benefited from the arrival of Elizabeth Line train services, we expect strong interest in this lot.”
