Bowerman makes it a hat-trick of wins

MARK BOWERMAN made it three victories in a row as he won the eighth leg of Remenham’s Winter Series fished at Milton Pools on Campbell’s and Chargoi lakes.

Bowerman landed carp on the pole at 13 metres with maggot and also on the inside with pellet for a total of 66lb 14oz. In second place was Roger Howard with 55lb 8oz of carp landed on the pole on the inside with maggot and in third place was Rodney Smith with 48lb 8oz of carp caught on the pole with pellet.

Last Sunday saw the ninth leg of the series fished at Holme Grange near Wokingham. Winner on this occasion was Dick Shillitto who alternated between the pole and method feeder landing carp on both totalling 74lb 4oz which was marginally ahead of Steve Johnson in second position with 71lb 12oz of carp all caught on the method feeder with pellet. In third place was Trevor Pearce with 51lb 8oz of carp also caught on the method feeder with pellet.

With two rounds remaining Pete Bowles leads the table with 140 points ahead of Shillitto in second with 132, Ian Chaplin in third with 130, fourth Bowerman with 129 and Steve Johnson making up the top five with 124.
