Johnson and Edwards in fine form at Milton

REMENHAM Angling Society’s winter series continued with a victory for Steve Johnson on Campbells Lake at Milton Pools.

Johnson landed small carp steadily through the match on the pole at both 14 and five metres with pellet and maggot weighing in a total of 75lb 8oz to win the seventh match of the series.

Second place went to Ian Chaplin from the next peg with 61lb 2oz of carp caught on the pole at five metres with corn and in third place was Pete Bowles with 51lb 13oz of carp. With the following weeks match called off due to the freezing conditions it was back to Milton Pools for the next match in the series but with House Lake being fished.

Geoff Edwards took top spot on this occasion with 59lb 14oz consisting of skimmers and roach plus a bonus carp all caught on the pole at 16 metres with maggot and soft pellet. In second place was Justin York with 32lb 14oz of skimmers, roach and perch landed on the pole with maggot and pellet with third place going to Steve Johnson with 23lb 13oz.
