STEVE JOHNSON won the Remenham Angling Society’s winter series.
He cemented top spot after finishing runner-up in the last of the events, which was fished on Campbell’s Lake at Milton Pools on Sunday in blustery conditions.
Pete Bowles fished the pole short at six metres with meat and pellet landing carp plus a few skimmers, weighing in a winning total of 101lb 3oz.
Johnson landed 91lb 1oz of carp on the pole with meat and pellet at six metres and down the inside.
Ian Chaplin was in third place with 60lb 15oz of carp caught on the pole at five metres with corn and pellet.
Johnson ended the series with 183 points ahead of Justin York in second with 162 points, while Pete Bowles and Ian Chaplin tied for third with 160 points each and Mark Harrison in fifth with 132 points.
