THE Henley College basketball academy travelled to Surrey Sports Park for a friendly against the GB senior women’s side.

The purpose of the friendly was to aid in the national team’s preparation for the upcoming British Invitational tournament at the end of the month as well as the EuroBasket tournament later this summer. Four of the academy’s female players also travelled and had the opportunity to experience first-hand what it was like to be a GB Senior player.

The game, organised by Reading Rockets director of coaching Matt Johnson, ended 64-47 to the GB side.
