Petflix and Chill: Relaxing videos produced for cats and dogs during Bonfire Night

Fireworks will be going off across the area on Bonfire Night on Saturday — but the loud noises and commotion can make the night a distressing time for pets.

Dog and cat owners often come to dread the celebrations and have to work hard to keep their animals calm and distracted.

One of the more unconventional methods suggested this year are two new videos for cats and dogs aimed at relaxing them and reducing stress.

Produced by pet insurance company MORE TH>N, the films have been made with the help of animal behaviourist Karen Wild and vet Robert White-Adams and feature the voice of none other than Broadchurch and Doctor Who actor David Tennant.

The wonderfully named Woofering Heights, aimed at dogs, features pastoral scenery, sedentary dogs and Emily Bronte-inspired narration.

Peer Window, for cats, is set entirely within a window frame and feature a mix of animate and inanimate objects.

Even if you have your doubts, the videos are certainly an...unusual...watch. Check them out below.
