THE MOTHER of a teenager who was fatally stabbed in Emmer Green will talk about a trust that was set up in his memory.

It will take place at St Barnabas’s Church in Grove Road on Wednesday, November 19 at 7.30pm.

Amanda Stephens’s son Olly was murdered in 2021 in Bugs Bottom fields.

She will be joined by Sarah Gardner, community safety manager at Reading Borough Council and Kiar Greyfaulk, a safer public realm officer. Mrs Stephens will talk about the Olly Stephens Trust which was started to raise money to support anti-knife crime charities.

They also provide counselling to young people and assist families of children with special needs.

Meanwhile, Mrs Gardner and Mr Greyfaulk will talk about the council’s partner organisations to help protect young people.

All are welcome and refreshments will be available.
