THE Antiques Roadshow will be at the BBC in Caversham Park on Sunday.

The doors will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm and entry is free.

Antiques and fine arts specialists will be on hand to offer free advice and valuations to visitors who bring along their family heirlooms, household treasures and car-boot sale bargains for inspection.

Simon Shaw, the show’s executive producer, said: “We are very excited to be visiting the home of BBC Radio Berkshire, BBC Monitoring and the BBC’s written historical archive.

“Our experts will meet visitors in grounds first laid out by Capability Brown, providing the perfect backdrop to what we hope will be a fascinating day for both Antiques Roadshow and everyone who comes along with their treasures.

“Our team of experts and [presenter] Fiona Bruce love nothing better than hearing people’s stories and seeing what items they bring, so we hope as many people as possible come and enjoy what our visitors consistently tell us is a fantastic day out.

“Even after 39 years, the magic formula of surprising some lucky guests with exciting news about their treasures is still a thrill for us, the visitors and the viewers.”
