TWO venues in Charvil have been awarded the top food hygiene rating.

The Heron on the Ford pub in Landsend Lane and Aspens, a catering service for Charvil Piggott Primary School, have been awarded five out of five stars under the national Scores on the Doors scheme.

This means that overall standards are “very good”.

The inspection was carried out by Wokingham Borough Council.
