Pupils build bug hotel

THE reception class at Crazies Hill Primary School has been focusing on how to save the planet.

Class teacher Ella Breach said: “We’ve been exploring insects and how they are critical to the environment. We’ve had some caterpillars join our class and wanted a safe environment for them to explore as butterflies.

“We built a bug hotel, using recycled materials. We stuffed plastic bottles with pine cones, twigs, stones and leaves retrieved from our garden. Our community at Crazies Hill donated wooden pallets, bricks and straw. Everyone had a hand in making our bug hotel and we are very proud of our creation.”

Remenham class are Harriet, Alba, Elliot, Imogen, Skye, Nell, Bella and Alex, all five, and Louis and Daisy (absent), four.
