Teenager arrested and enquiries ongoing after police attend fight in Langley

A teenager has been arrested after police attended to reports of two people fighting with weapons in Langley yesterday (Wednesday).

Officers attended the scene in Station Road at around 3.50pm on March 11, and the two males had made off.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

He remains in custody, and enquiries into this incident are ongoing.

Thames Valley Police is not aware of any injuries as a result of this incident.

Detective Superintendent Holly Stockwell said: “We are investigating the circumstances of this incident, which will, of course, cause some concern in the community.

“This incident is being thoroughly investigated, and we have made one arrest in connection with this incident.

“We are aware of a video of the incident on social media. We would ask members of the public not to share the incident.

“This is an active criminal investigation where a youth has been arrested, and as such, identifying them in any way would constitute a criminal offence, and individuals could face prosecution.

“Members of the public may see an increased police presence as we continue to investigate this incident. Anyone with any concerns should raise them with one of our officers or call 101.
