SIR Ed Davey, the leader of the Liberal Democrat Party and parent carer to his disabled son, appeared on a podcast hosted by a Wargrave woman.
Jane Holmes, of Blakes Road, and Melissa Paulden run Let’s Take Care, which aims to help parents of disabled children.
Sir Ed told the pair about the daily realities of caring for his son, the emotional strain carried by families like theirs and the policy changes needed to support the UK’s millions of parent carers of disabled people.
He spoke about the “invisible load” that comes with long-term caring — from advocacy battles to the emotional toll of watching loved ones struggle.
