EMMER GREEN overwhelmed visitors TILEHURST EL PATRONS with a commanding 9-1 Premier Division victory last Sunday.

From the first whistle Emmer Green asserted their dominance, combining sharp attacking play with relentless pressure that left the visitors struggling to cope.

The breakthrough came early when Joe Roff rose highest to meet Daniel Donegan’s pinpoint corner, heading home to make it 1-0.

The lead was doubled thanks to a moment of brilliance from Pele Hagger, who kept the ball alive on the byline before teeing up Archie Denton, who finished from a tight angle. El Patrons managed to pull one back just before half-time.

The second half saw Daniel Donegan restore the two-goal cushion with a well-struck free kick.

Joe Roff added his second of the day, finishing off a neat assist from Luke Maze, before Maze himself got on the scoresheet with a solo run and a composed chip over the keeper. Roff completed his hat-trick, capitalising on a goalkeeper error after Jordan Lovelock’s shot was parried into his path. Roff then added a fourth to his tally.

Hagger added a spectacular eighth, turning and volleying past the helpless keeper, before Roff rounded off the scoring with his fifth of the match, again profiting from Lovelock’s pressure.

Henley Exiles were hosted at Prospect Park by Sally Donkeys FC on Sunday.

In Division 1, GORING UNITED ran out 8-3 winners at JAH LIONS.

Sully Akers scored two early goals which were swiftly followed by a third from Bertie Spencer. Spencer added a fourth soon after half-time before Theo Rossi chipped in with a goal.

Spencer completed his hat-trick before adding two more goals, while Akers notched a hat-trick before rounding off with another goal. In Division 5, HENLEY EXILES ran out 6-3 winners at SALLY DONKEYS.

The visitors took the lead when Will Aldridge’s far post corner was met by Will Sheard to head home.

Exiles doubled their lead when Josh Gay floated a free kick into the box that caused mayhem before Sully Priestley got a touch that let the ball fall kindly for Lincoln Winters to score from close range.

The hosts pulled a goal back before Henley were awarded a couple of penalties that Owen Darani tucked away comfortably for 4-1. Just before the break the home team pulled another goal back.

The second half saw the Exiles add to their score when Mike Dowling set up Sergio Mota to fire home. The home side pulled another goal back to make it 5-3 with 15 minutes to go. Mota turned provider for Sheard to cap off the scoring and complete his brace.
