FIZZ KASSAM ran out winner of Badgemore Park’s club championship held last weekend.
A strong breeze on Saturday made scoring difficult although this did not seem to affect Derek Brown who shot a gross score of 75 with Stuart Shurman on 78 and Kassam on 79.
The Director’s Trophy, awarded to the best net score, saw Dean Wilson score a net 67, with Michael O’Keeffe and Brown on 69. On Sunday conditions were more benign and this was reflected in the scoring. Kassam added a gross score of 75 to his 79 giving him a total of 154 which was enough for him to secure the title beating Shurman, who had a score of 155, into second place. In third place was Simon Austen with 156.
The Director’s Trophy was won by Wilson with a 36 hole net total of 130 with Kassam in second place and Ken Arlett third with 137.
