Luckett elected county president

HENLEY Golf Club president Geoff Luckett has been elected president of Oxfordshire Golf Captains for the second time.

Luckett, who has been a member of the Harpsden club for 38 years and was club captain in 1997, becomes the third Henley past captain to be honoured in this way and will take up the post next year having also been president in 2009.

The new county president will follow in the footsteps of the late Malcolm White and Michael Mogridge BEM.

Oxfordshire Golf Captains has 300 members and plays 20 matches each year against other counties’ captains plus a selection of internal competitions and events.
